Fine Line Tattoo FAQs

  • Yes, we welcome inspiration and reference images. Each design is adapted to suit your individual features and aesthetic.

  • That’s completely okay. Placement is an important part of the overall flow and longevity of a tattoo, and we can work through options together during your appointment. I’m happy to guide you on sizing, positioning, and how the design will complement your anatomy and age over time.

  • Yes, every tattoo is tailored to suit you. Whether you have a clear vision or just a general concept, we can refine and personalise the design to ensure it feels intentional, balanced, and unique to you while staying true to my fine line style.

  • Pain levels vary depending on the area and individual tolerance. Fine line tattoos are generally less intense than heavier styles, though some sensitivity is still to be expected.

  • Initial healing typically takes 1–2 weeks, with full healing around 3–4 weeks depending on the individual and placement.

  • You can usually shower the same day, however we recommend keeping water exposure minimal on the area and avoiding soaking the tattoo during the healing period.

  • Fine line tattoos can soften over time due to their delicate nature. Longevity depends on placement, skin type, lifestyle and aftercare.

  • Not necessarily. Fine line tattoos are often less intense than traditional heavy tattoo styles, but sensitivity varies from person to person and placement.

  • In many cases, yes, once the scar is fully healed (typically at least 12 months old). Please contact us with a photo so we can assess suitability.

  • Finger tattoos can be done, however they tend to fade more quickly due to frequent use and exposure. We’re happy to discuss whether this placement is right for you. Touch ups for these areas may incur a fee.

  • Please ensure you are well hydrated, have eaten beforehand, and avoid alcohol or blood-thinning substances for at least 24 hours prior. Arriving well rested will help you feel more comfortable.

 Cosmetic Brow Tattoo FAQs

  • Cosmetic brow tattooing typically lasts 1–3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle and aftercare, with colour softening naturally over time.

  • Most clients find cosmetic brow tattooing comfortable, with a mild scratching sensation. A numbing agent is used to minimise discomfort.

  • Each appointment begins with a detailed consultation and brow mapping to design a shape suited to your facial structure. The procedure is then carried out with precision to achieve soft, natural results.

  • Cosmetic Brow Tattoos are recommended to have a ‘Perfecting Touch Up Appointment’ 4–6 weeks after the initial appointment.

  • You’ll be provided with detailed aftercare instructions. Generally, this includes keeping the area clean, lightly moisturised, and avoiding picking, scratching or excessive friction.

  • We recommend avoiding swimming, saunas and intense exercise for at least 1–2 weeks, or until the tattoo has properly healed.

  • Avoid sun exposure, swimming, saunas and excessive sweating during the healing period. Following aftercare instructions is essential for the best results.

  • Healing for cosmetic brow tattooing occurs in stages over several weeks and can include mild tenderness, dryness, flaking, and softening of the pigment as the brows settle. Every client heals differently depending on skin type and aftercare. You can view detailed information about the healing process, aftercare, and what to expect on the Pre & Post Care page of this website.
